With a seamless transition of colour, the Nuance is entirely unique to Begg x Co. Its remarkable appearance is due to the skill and mastery of innovative spinning techniques. This traditional method creates the subtle, gradual blending of shades from fringe to fringe, and is available in two different finishes – a washed, lightweight plain weave for a casual look, or with a glossier rippled effect, the result of gentle brushing with Italian teasels.

Care

To maintain the finish of your scarf we would recommend gentle brushing in the direction of the fibre with a clothes brush to ensure minimal fibre disturbance. Only brush in the direction of the fibre. As all our products are made with natural fibres, over time, pilling may occur. The best treatment for this is to use a pilling comb to gently remove any fibre pills. All our products are recommended as dry clean only due to the delicate nature of the fibres. If necessary, spot clean with a clean, damp cloth and blot any excess moisture, but do not rub as this will cause fibre distortion. Finish by pressing with a cool iron over some tissue paper.

We aim to dispatch orders within 2 - 4 working days. Orders are shipped on weekdays (Monday – Friday) only, not including bank holidays or any other holiday periods specified by us.

Returns

If for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied with your Begg x Co product you can return it to us within 14 days as long as it is unworn and still in the original packaging with any labels, swing tags, etc attached. A seamless transition of colour, the result of over 150 years of expert craftsmanship and a patented spinning technique that is entirely unique to Begg x Co.

Each colourway of this scarf tells a story with a paradox of Scottish nature and industry, softly unfolding to reveal a timeless woven innovation. Each scarf goes through 35 different processes before being finished with our iconic ripple effect, achieved by brushing the surface with Italian teasels.

The Patented Nuance Collection

Developed at our mill in Ayr in the early 2000s, each Nuance Ombre scarf, stole, and throw is designed with its own bespoke yarn of blended hand-dyed cashmere, the result of patented spinning techniques. Approximately 7 km of Nuance Ombre yarn is woven into one of our Nuance Ombre throws to create a subtle blend of colour from fringe to fringe.
